The Proposal Quality Checklist is designed to help you evaluate your proposal prior to submission in order to help understand the strengths and weaknesses of your proposal.
We recommend that this checklist is used on each draft of your proposal - you should aim to complete your first draft one week before submission in order to review and refine it. Your final version should be produced at least two days prior to submission to do a final check and proof as well as to ensure that you can produce the documents, bind them and get them in on time.
You can use this tool as part of a "red team review", where an independent team is chosen to perform a dummy evaluation prior to submission.
There are 5 sections to complete, each with a series of detailed questions. Each question is given a score out of ten, weighted against importance and impact (you can customise these weightings). A summary of the scoring for each section is provided at the top of the checklist, with an overall score out of 100. This overall score is based around the weighted section values, not an average of section totals.
